Last year you talked about pre baiting for mink. I tried to find that but it's gone so I could refresh my memory. So question is like how far out from the start of the season did you bait what was your bait and there was something about piling rocks up to make little cubby holes if I remember correct thanks again

You got it! Pile some fairly large stones (flat rocks are best) at the edge of the water. Use the largest you can find to keep coons and possums from turning the rocks over and stealing your bait before the mink finds it. Make your cubby so the mink has to walk in 2 to 4" of water to get to the entrance. Dig out, or add a flat rock to bring it to that depth. Then pre bait with something fishy. Dead mice or mouse nests work well also, and don't seem to attract as many coons. I did it a couple weeks before I was ready to trap. Don't worry too much about hiding your trap. A large wet leaf, or some waterlogged grass lightly sprinkled over it will work. They don't seem to mind the traps, and will use the pan as a place to step. Just a little light guiding to the pan, and your set up! Good luck!!!! BTW- Your HOOKED aren't you!!!!
