Well over the past week was the spring NAFA auction. I sent in 30 different hides and 28 were sold. They all brought $590.00 My best coon brought 33.00, my best grey fox brought 35.00, and my best coyote brought 51.00. I had a beaver and a coyote that was bought back and NAFA did not sell them. They will be held for the next auction. Not bad for a winter hobby.

Nice, congrats!! what did you average on your coon? I shipped mine to Groeny right after the Feb. NAFA sale. I did okay but think I might go with NAFA next year.

I averaged 19.37 on the coon and 23.55 on my yotes. Very happy with what i got. I do think the the February auction was better so I will try to get most of my fur in the february auction next year.

It will be interesting to see what projected prices are later this year since inventories were supposedly low. It might draw quite a few more folks back into trapping as long as they have a place close to their home to do it.

Anyone know any places to sell in the round furs around either Johnson or Parke co? Looking into getting a little more serious next year but have a son due first week of aug so I won't have the time to put the furs up.

Thats a good deal PB! At least you didn't have to take that MIG back!!!! :p laugh Your averages were about $4 higher on coons, and $2 higher on totes than we got at a local buyer in late January.

PB: Are your averages before or after commission?I was happy with my averages of $17 on coon and got 30 for my one mink but I did have a shipping cost. I'm just a hobby trapper but thinking about sending to NAFA next year and try to get a couple extra bucks.

I am just a hobby trapper too. Not out to make any big money just something to do to kill the late winter months. my averages were before comission was taken. This was the first time I shipped to NAFA and I did way better then the local buyer would have given me. The prices were better during the February auction so that is the time to send them. Yup!!! I got to keep the welder. :)Done modified a bunch of my traps with it.

Just cashed my NAFA check this afternoon. I am very pleased with the prices at both NAFA auctions this year.

Most of my fur sold in the May/June auction.

Hoosier trapper is a NAFA shipper. Just drop them off there at the shop.
