we have a small place on johnson county that is seriously flooded with yotes. I need some first hand advice.. where the heck do I start?!
it is a 40 acre field and at the front of the property there is about 6 acres or better of just woods, not to thick.. but it tends to hold deer and everything just fine..
i have a camera down there and decided to go check it today. I got out of the car and was stoked as I saw tracks EVERYWHERE in the snow!!!
and as i'm walking in I saw 5-6 different pee spots in the snow right by some dog tracks. what trap should I use?! I want to kill ALL of them and then some, but I want to keep the deer safee from the traps.. any advice would help!
if you live in johnson county and want to help i'd love to have it. you can set up your trap and do your thing i'll just join,, thanks again!

A number two duke foot trap is going to be your best bet unless you want to get into the whole snares. This is my first year trapping and I can tell you trapping coyotes is hard especially with the snow we have had. But there are others on here that will be able to help you better than I can.

Being in Johnson County, you might have some luck at Hoosier Trapper. Go in there and talk to Charlie. Tell him what you are after. They may be able to set you up with a trapper willing to help you out, and set some traps at the same time.

They are also looking for people to film a trapline. They have been putting out a monthly video of trapping and were looking for footage. Be pretty cool if they tagged along and helped you while filming. Worth a shot.

Hoosier trapper and Charlie is a great place. He is very informational and has everything you need to get started.
