A great morning this morning as my dad got to come over and shoot some doves with us! I once again had Tiny with me who is great at telling you how many you miss and chasing down dead birds! He had a rough time today however because I shot my limit in less than two boxes and he was doing a lot of chasing! Grandpa killed 8 of his 11 with a BPS 28 ga. which he has hardly ever shot.

Collectively as a group we killed 66 between 5 shooters. Two limits! That makes 189 taken out of our patch! It for sure has made for some memories and good times!

Here is a couple pics from when we got home! Jakes socks and shoes were soaked (he did not go barefoot, I'm not that cruel)!

Nice going. With what you've gotten out of that field, I would suggest it is well worth the effort of planting.

Very cool! Next year I might have a small patch of sunflowers. h.h.

I would have to say that I grew up deer hunting and love knocking down a deer and I started waterfowling in high school and now don't have the places to go, but this dove hunting is becoming one of my favorite things. I enjoy the work in planning and planting the plot and then watching others have a good time!!! I can't wait until Jake starts shooting!

This year for sure has been well worth the effort!
