The head of the family on Duck Dynasty Mr. Phil Robertson has been suspended indefinitely for making comments about gay people.

A&E the owners of Duck Dynasty have decided to suspend Phil from the popular show.

Today I read where the family has basically stated that they don't think that they can go on with the show without their father. I don't blame them.

I personally have gone to the A&E facebook page and expressed my dislike for what has happened.

And there is a new facebook page that's been started that already has over 1.4 million "likes" in the last 24 hours. If you disagree with A&E on this suspension I would hope that you would go to the A&E face book page and express your dislike. You will not be alone when you do this as millions of people have already gone and told A&E to stick it.

First they came for Imus and then they came for Phil. Next they may come for You!......

In the polls that I've read on my local news web site the people in favor of Phil are running 90% and higher. Only 2% were against what he said.

Cracker Barrel reverses it's decision to pull Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander Items from it's shelves and says it made a mistake.

They claim that the support that Phil Robertson is getting changed their mind

Hopefully A&E will see the light and reinstate Phil to the show and apologize to him.

I just finished si's book .. its great!

Really could care less, the show is way overated and way to scripted, i have watched bits and pieces of it every now and then. Just dont see the fascination with it.

What I dont get is, it's a reality show!! Phil said what he believed. That's reality. If they start telling them what to say, it is no longer a reality show. It becomes a scripted sit-com. And a poor one at that..

I say, If you dont like what he says/does, dont watch the show!!

Well Phil is back on the show. I think he never really left and it was all just a publicity stunt. And it worked. They had a record audience for their A&E Christmas Show which ran a lot of hours on the TV. They have an audience of about 14 million people.


Either than or A&E caved and put Phil Back on the Show when they realized that they would be losing millions of potential dollars if they didn't put Phil back on the show. Not only would the rest of Phil's Family leave the show but their followers were going to boycott A&E and all their sponsoers. Anyway A&E caved.

There has been a lot of discussion on this topic on a waterfowl site that I visit frequently. Many opinions on what happened but I think the majority consensus was the A&E relented after further input from their sponsors and that the family has probably agreed to somewhat censor what they say in the future, or at least how they say it.
