I plan to give it a go this weekend with my crossbow. I have a big flock I have been watching since October.

Don't forget the hunter orange!!

Hunter Orange
Archery hunters must meet fluorescent (hunter) orange requirements while hunting turkeys Dec. 7 – 22, 2013 and from Dec. 26, 2013 through Jan. 5, 2014.

Yes sir. My wife is all set up for it. Looks like I may need to go north instead of going to Madison this weekend. OR, may end up with ducks, but turkey is the preference this weekend. I'm going to put out a few decoys to hopefully bring the birds in close for her.

cool!

I am going to get the decoys out also.

I presume 144 inches of hunter orange is still required on the ground blinds?

That's the way I read the regs. On each side of the blind. I cut up a couple of old vests I had and will attach with safety pins.

I'm just gonna hunt.. with my bow near the lake.. bucks ducks turkeys coyote and stray pets.. I've got tags for all of them..

If that doesn't pan out I'll build a fire and fish...

So, you wear one of those? Heck, for birds, I'm going with a blind, a buddy heater and coffee thermas in the morning, Just couldn't get my mind around hunting in 8 inches of snow this morning in Madison.

I would be leery to wear one of those in a stand like the one in the picture... If you fell out of the stand you could be in trouble... I also hate having my arms constrained...
