Well the morning started off with a long walk into a spot we found yesterday that had a lot of turkey sign. We was going to wait here till about 930 or 1000 then move to the lane where we saw them yesterday, put out the decs and wait it out. Well shortly after it got daylight ( no gobbles close) she says hey I found a mushroom. I look and see another one, this went all the way to 11 nice ones. At 930 she had enough and was ready to move so we pick our shrooms and move out. We peek into the first field and I see a bird coming our way we get hid and wait and it came strolling by and she was ready for it, breathing hard, gun moving all around it was fun. Her first Indiana turkey!

Nice!! WTG!

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're flying with a bunch of turkeys.

So Nick what time should I stop by the station on Thursday for turkey breast and mushrooms? Tell the wife congrats on the turkey.

Congrats on a great day with the wife!

Now, a quick comment on the picture.... it looks to be pointed towards the wife. I'm sure it is /was empty and chamber open, but I always have a bad vibe when I can see down any barrel.

Thanks guys it was a good day with the wife we had fun. And Jb I understand what you said and yes it was unloaded with chamber open, the other thing that is kind of deceiving is the rock is about 4 foot wide the gun on one side and she is on the back a ways from the gun but I will try and remember that for the next time.

Thanks Nickgsp2, I always look at the content of photos and what people will see. I meant it as a hint for the future not critisism of your experience. The positive....... her smile says it all!

Good job and congrats, and what JB said regarding gun. Remember the basics, treat every gun as though it was loaded. smile
