It started 15yrs ago When I started taking my Son at 10 yrs of age, teaching him every thing I had learned about turkey hunting and the outdoors. Well it must of took hold for now he is on his own. Called me this mornong already and has his bird. He has it all on video, cant wait too see it and share with you guys. We have this thing going about killing a turkey on our birthdays with his being on the 27th of April and mine on the 23 rd. I have taken several birds on my birthday and now he has taken a bird on his birthday. Happy Birthday Son. Video coming as soon as I get it.

Coincidentally, my daughter also turned 25 years of age on April 27th. She never was much for hunting, but she does like fishing and loves cooking wild game.

My birthday is on the 26th, and have yet to score a bird on my birthday since I moved to Indiana 20yrs ago!

Biggest problem is that it's a workday and I can't get off work.... because I take my vacation the first FULL week of season

And can't wait for my vac in couple weeks! Me and Romer are heading a little south for camping/hunting/fishing!
But MAYBE i'll get a chance to get out in the evening of my BD this year...

Mine just so happens to fall on opening day this year, the 24th. Killed a few on my b day, this year I'm concentrating my efforts on a newbie, hoping to get him his first long beard opening day.

Bo, looks like there might even be mushrooms around on opening day. Fins, feathers, and fungi! You can't beat that!
