My nephew shot a young 8 pointer on his first day hunting deer ever! He is 15 and usually hunts ducks with his dad, but Uncle Louie took him out and it was awesome.
We see this buck about 100 meters, we both shoot and miss (same time) - this buck runs south through the forest. I tell him to run to the end of the section and if the buck comes out, shoot it.
He actually ran it down, ambushed him, shot him, found the blood, tracked him and dragged him out (200 meters).
