I hunted opening morning with my wife and we saw 3 doe but nothing close. My oldest had a flag football game and then to grandma and grandpa's house to play . I asked him if he wanted to go hunting figuring playing outside with his cousins would take top priority. But he wanted to hunt and then come back so we combined the two we took his older cousin out hunting for his first ever hunting trip. We flew home I rounded up some clothes and off to the blind we went. What a blast it took us forever to get to the blind he had to explain every track and pile of scat we seen, how to be quiet, face paint the whole nine yards. We didn't play on a phone or tablet. We played rock paper scissor number guessing game and just general tallking, you guys know. 2 good hours with my son and nephew. Then when we left we saw 2 bucks and 2 doe so they even got to see something.

Good For You! I used to take my son and there was no tablet or games. First time a took a couple "Hot Wheels" cars just in case? But he never got them out because we hung out and whispered, moved the blind, talked about trees and wildlife...So much fun. My son is in college in Illinois and because he's a baseball player doesn't get much free time to hunt and fish, but he always comes home to hynt with Dad when he can.
