Anyone have one? What do you think of it the good, bad and ugly.

Had a 3x9 on one of my White inlines that I sold a couple years ago. Can't recall the specific model.. Good bang for the $$....great warranty if you ever need it too!! Clear glass and really no complaints!

I own two Vortex scopes. You can't beat a no-questions-asked lifetime transferable warranty. There is no "registered" owner -- whoever possesses the scope possesses the warranty. Regardless of the reason for the damage, they will replace it. And to top it off, they're quality optics, and that's coming from a guy who has owned two $2K Nightforce scopes.

Warranty is only valuable when you break it. I looked at optics pretty closely this year. I had seen and heard about the Vortex brand and gave it a reasonable look. Truthfully, there was such a clear and distinct difference between the Nikon line and the Vortex line it wasn't close. I bought Nikon and would again. I just felt the Vortex wasn't nearly as clear.

Yes, the warranty is terrific...if you break it. If you are hunting with it..and I assume that is what matters...I felt they were a clear step below Nikon.
My .02

I've never compared a Vortex side-by-side with a Nikon, but I've owned at least a half dozen Monarchs in the past of various magnification, and felt that they were on par. I chose the Monarchs at the time due to their 95% light transmission. Vortex are rated the same now, but I can't speak for the clarity. I will say that I've never noticed anything out of the ordinary.
