Two does and one buck for me so far. I'm sitting or should I say swinging all day. Last sighting at 10 am.
"I dream of the day when my son can join me in the woods on a hunt. I will pass on all that I have learned to him, just like my father did to me. To me, this defines tradition which can survive for endless generations as long as we do our part."

best policy is SSS if you own the land If you don't, you might consider some footholds and then put the dogs in cages using a choke pole and take them to animal control. Owners (if they can find them) get a days to claim them and pay up or dogs get put down. Owners (if they can find them) get a days to claim them and pay up or dogs get put down. I don't own the land it is my best friends place... He has no problem and his wife wants them all shot since they get into everything... The county I am hunting in will charge you to drop off animals and I'm not paying for dogs that do not belong to me... The people in the area do not care about their animals... All they use them for is to make noise to let them know someone is outside and they just let them run loose all over the area... It sucks and I am not happy at all about what I am going to do but what else is there to do... If people can not and will not take care of their responsibilities then I will take care of it and we will all be better off at the end of the day... I got a feeling that these dogs are just drop offs from other areas... My buddy has even trapped a few and relocated them hoping they never come back... He lives in a very rural area on a dead end road...

I got attacked by wild dogs while bow hunting, in all places - marion county. It was a gruesome scene after I shot one of the dogs with my PSE Nova + Muzzies.
The only dog that looked threatening was of course the alpha male and he was not happy to see me in the woods. He took one from sternum to stem... and lived quite a long time. You could smell the iron from his blood while tracking him and the yelping didn't stop for a solid 90 seconds.
I called animal control and let them know what happened. Never heard anything about it. It looked like a scene out of a bad Disney cartoon with all the dogs being formerly house pets... except for the alpha male (mut) - he was straight up gangster. It was unfortunate, but he made the first move, so I had to do it.
Deer Hunting since 1999 (Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana Antelope) Marketing Guy in Chicago but grew up in Indiana/ Ball State.. blah blah blah.
