Thought we would now start a thread for any weekday hunt sightings/stories/pictures ya might want to share... of this first week.

I couldn't hunt this evening, but I'll be back in a tree in the morning (monday)!

We had DNR walking on our property this morn... they sure didn't kick any up for us! :p

They didn't even check us?!?

we will be out some this week too! Likely just evening hunts.

They were just walking around... watched them go look into the ground blind (no orange on it)... but that was it! They never approached any of us in our stands.

Did a series of grunts around 8:15 and heard some movement and noticed a decent Buck walking away so I grunted at him which caused him to turn and head towards me but from the back...

He was behind which helped me get my gun ready and swivel my seat in my stand around but I was afraid he was going to wind me where I walked in and next thing I know I hear him take off and he gave me a shot as he was running (I missed) then I hear more movement behind him and noticed two puppies running towards him which was the reason he ran...

Those two puppies ought to consider themselves lucky to be puppies or otherwise I would have shot both those dogs had they been adults... My buddy's wife wanted me to shoot them cause she is sick of them running around the yard... It isn't the first time I had dogs ruin my hunt down there cause their neighbors are all useless people who won't get their dogs spayed or neutered so just breed and spit out puppies and let them run all over the place...

Man I am still over this...

So game wardens just walk around your property to check things out... weird

No DNR sightings on this morning's hunt!

Saw 3 deer and 8 coyotes tho!

Had two game wardens come to my house caught me at the barn in my gum boots and long johns said something about reports of a nude deer hunter Had my orange on so no violation

I'm going with a friend tonight at a place I've never been....should be fun

Killed a really big doe this evening in the rain in Parke County. Lonnnnggggg drag with wet clothes and a heavy deer

Tired but still need to take care of her. Got 2 deer to process tomorrow. My brother got one yesterday in Monroe County. Another LONGggggggg drag.

Umm..no. Got the day off my paying job. Drinking coffee, thinking about watching a hunting video. Then maybe I'll cut some meat later on

I have 5 sits in a row with no deer sightings! My farm in Henry County has been down on deer sighting this year! Been hunting there for 30+ years and have never had trouble seeing some deer there? Not sure what is going on?

Only 2 does and a bunch of turkey so far this morn.

Have you been hunting out of the same stand? If so, then that probably is part of the reason why you are not seeing any because you are or have left too much scent around and they know you are there...

No, I always hunt the wind I have about 12 stands so that I can do so. I don't think I have been winded there in about 20 years or so. I know scent isn't an issue, its probably more about spotlighters night hunters, and dogs. In the list above I consider dogs on the no kill list.

Only saw two does yest evening... and did not see anything this eve!

I'm going out tomorrow since the rain is over... Had I know how little rain we got on Tuesday I would have went out...

I've been out the last 3 evenings. Lots of rain and wind, but seeing deer. Rut action (chasing/tending) is tapering off fast.

Saw 4 young bucks yest... all day sit! Windy as a hurrica-nado!!!

Yeah that wind was wicked yesterday. Wore three layers, but needed more!

Saw various bucks roaming and checking doe groups, then moving on. Rut is winding down here, & the does are already starting to group up.

I cant even kick any bucks my way. Its been bad only seen the same fork horn twice

Was on vacation all week did not hunt Tuesday did not see a deer till yesterday evenin. Deer every where opening weekend passed a buck opening evenin i regret and missed a really nice one last Sunday morning. Rushed the shot cause he chased a doe for 30 minutes around me at less than 30 yards sometimes with no shots I just got impatient no excuses. First time in 11 years or so I haven't taken a deer yet this late in season
