Why is it printed like this in the
Equipment

Is a .30-30 or .45-70 legal for deer hunting in 2015-16?

These weapons are not legal for deer hunting in the 2015-16 season, as they fire bullets smaller than the .357-inch diameter minimum.

What are the rifle cartridge size requirements for Firearms Season?

Cartridges must fire a bullet of .357-inch diameter or larger and have a case length between 1.16 and 1.8 inches. Examples of legal cartridges now include the .460 Smith & Wesson, .450 Bushmaster, and .50 Beowulf as well as the .357 Magnum, .38-.40 Winchester, .41 Special and others.

l have seen that a .243 is legal in a hand gun, a REM. 35 is legal ?? How is a Rem. 35 hand gun safer then a Rem.35 rifle? As well as a .243 hand gun saver then a .243 rifle ? Not that l would run out and buy eighter one if they were legal,

DON'T BLAME ME ! I VOTED FOR THE AMERICAN !!! And I won't vote for the sorry LYING B***** come 2016 !!

To put it in laments terms... Very few people hunt using a handgun so the state doesn't see it as a safety issue...

That was the whole argument when the state was looking at when they were discussion allowing rifles for deer hunting was the safety aspect of it...

Personally, I wish they would just ban ANY rifle cartridge if a weapon that is capable of firing it CANNOT be used to hunt with... Either allow all, or none... Keep it simple!

I can deer hunt with my .243 handgun and hunt coyotes all night with my .243 rifle. BUT I can't deer hunt with the rifle just the handgun. Both shoot the same load!!

Never mind the fact that studies have conclusively shown shotgun slugs ricochet more than high speed bullets and there is no increase in accidents due to high power rifles being implemented as a legal deer hunting weapon.
