76 Chevy or JS2397 Can you send me the regs on that gun where it says it is legal etc? Also your picture did not populate on my screen for some reason. I'd like to see where it is legal.
I believe you but just want the regs!
Thanks guys, noww back to knocking out this work so I can get in a tree this week!
Consistent luck is nothing more than hard work and preparation.

From Indiana regs... http://www.eregulations.com/indiana/hunting/deer-seasons-licenses-equipment/ Handguns, other than muzzleloading, must have a barrel at least 4 inches long and must fire a bullet of .243-inch diameter or larger. The handgun cartridge case, without the bullet, must be at least 1.16 inches long. Full metal-jacketed bullets are not permitted. The handgun must not be a rifle that has a barrel less than 18 inches or be designed or redesigned to be fired from the shoulder. Bullet diameter: 0.308 in (7.8 mm) Case length: 1.368 in (34.7 mm) It appears this firearm meets the reg requirements for a legal deer hunting handgun in the state of Indiana. BTW, this exact question was asked on another forum of a conservation officer and that officer agreed the firearm was legal.

http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/proshop/product/SB15-Detail.jpg It is Not "shoulder mounted" Not saying I would ever think about using it or anything like this to hunt with...just saw it and wanted to share it. Shaking my head about some of the stuff people come up with... "Handguns, other than muzzleloading, must have a barrel at least 4 inches long and must fire a bullet of .243-inch diameter or larger. The handgun cartridge case, without the bullet, must be at least 1.16 inches long. Full metal-jacketed bullets are not permitted. Indiana needs to get with the program and at least make rifles legal in less populated counties. I have driven from the region to delaware county over 200 times 65-26-69 and there is nothing there outside of Lake county but the occasional farm house and crops.
Marion County and Lake county are populated... maybe fortwayne (whatever county that is in). Everything else is farms.
Easily, rifles may be allowed .243 and above when elevated at least 8 feet in a tree stand and must be 25 meters from a standing structure (home, business, barn)... easily implemented. 30-30 should be allowed, even though it doesn't kill as well as a 30-06.
Same stupid laws as no alcohol from a store on Sunday. Ignorance.
Deer Hunting since 1999 (Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana Antelope) Marketing Guy in Chicago but grew up in Indiana/ Ball State.. blah blah blah.

Same stupid laws as no alcohol from a store on Sunday. Ignorance. I disagree... I understand your argument but either make it legal for all or none... A patchwork of legal here but illegal over there will cause nothing but confusion and aggravation for both hunter and CO's alike besides it makes for bad public policy... Uniform rules is the best policy and they way to go... Personally, I wish they would banned all rifle cartridges only because they can't be used in ALL weapons... Allowing a cartridge in a handgun but not a rifle makes no sense to me whatsoever... And Ft.Wayne is in Allen County...

Studies show rifles to be safer than slug guns. Bullets fragment on impact with anything, slugs bounce along the ground and thru the woods like cannon balls
