Shot at a squirrel yesterday and my bow sounded really funny? Got back to the truck and discovered my limb had splintered! I take really good care of my equipment, this bow is in and out of a padded case, and never been dropped. Talk about being bummed, I'm supposed to head south tomorrow to hunt my good farms for the first time! It's still under warranty but man what bad timing. I also have a hog hunt coming up on the 3rd. I can shoot my sons bow so I guess it's time to get practicing.

Darn, glad you are OK. I had a browning bow blow up on me years ago.

In fine shape, never dry fired just a couple years old. Parts fail. They replaced it at no charge. I hope you get yours covered under warranty too.

No it was a PSE less than 2 years old! I think these really short brace heights they have are affecting the limbs? ITs a lot of stress, sometimes faster isn't always better. But what horrible timing!

that's why I shoot a big 40 inch ATA bow, 8.125 inch brace. Its slow (relatively) , quiet, and most importantly forgiving and accurate.

This is why I mentioned in the other thread the importance of having a good pro shop close who carries the bow line you shoot. When something like this happens, you don't want to be dealing with the boneheads at cabelas or gander mountain....

I wouldn't have anything worked on at those stores! my local guy just didn't have the right limbs in stock! It's all good though I borrowed a cross bow!

Same thing happened to me several years back. it was my fault - lightning came in and I tossed my bow and got out of my metal stand in 2 seconds flat. didn't know the cam had come loose or something similar - huge 8 pointer about 2 days later and no telling where the arrow went. Luckily nothing sprung back at me. Like I said it was my fault on this occasion but that's a lot of power being generated to just break apart.
