I think I got a pretty good and cheap idea. Recently my mom had 24' added on to our barn since my sister has 2 donkeys and just got a horse so it could be an area for stalls. She has many and I mean many 2 by 6 boards left from the stalls and they are treated. Im thinking about taking that wood and finding four trees over my food plot that are like a-lined in the shape of a triangle or square and cutting them boards to the length they need to be and hammering onto the trees and making a blind. I'll also make a roof on it. Im going to try and find a picture of my idea and show you guys what I mean but if not I think ill do it and then post a picture of it on here!! Let me know what yall think

Evan - I think first you will need landowner permission to start nailing into stuff. Be careful with that. Hanging stands is one thing but building stuff is another. You nail into the wrong tree and that could drop value if harvested later.

Also, it will be permanent which means if you don't like the spot then you are stuck.

Not a bad idea BUT I would invest into more stands or a good blind you could move around and take down.

Way to use your brain there Mag.
All I recommend is dont nail into a good tree, what I mean is good oaks or poplar or a good ash if there any left around you.
Also you may want to try lashing it together !!!
Send the pics as you build, looking forward too them. Good luck.

I have less than 100 in this one with a old free office chair on wheels that swivels inside. 4 feet to the bottom. I can unscrew the whole thing and have up by myself in 30 minutes.

hahahah

I'll try to post some pics of my redneck shooting shack. Needs a new roof and the OSB floor gave way in one corner but it works and cost next to nothing...

I did this a couple of years ago. Still up, works great ( have killed deer & turkey out of them)and is cheap (maybe free). Took 3 4 X 4 pallets. Stood them up to make a 3 sided blind. Set them in front of a large tree on a field edge (so you are completely enclosed) screwed them together & brushed them in. Knocked 1 board out of all 3 sides for the right height to shoot out of a turkey seat. If it rains, take a camo umbrella to cover the top. After a year, they look completely natural.
