Pretty nice rack for an antlered doe... The hunter said the neck wasn't swollen like bucks are but by the picture, it was pretty swollen to me... That's one manly looking doe....

Might be a stupid question but....
Do antlered does go through all the rubbing and scraping that bucks go through?

Imagine the look on that bucks face.. see's the rack and thinks the fight is on cause he smells a hot doe and gets up to, uhhhh, her-him and probably not real sure if he should whoop him or what..

Wonder how many of the antlered does get bred, and what the odds of her passing the genes on to the fawns..

1. According to the story this doe did rub because the hunter found tree bark in the antler... Now if an antlered doe was still in velvet then no she probably wouldn't... The more testosterone the more likely a doe will act more buck like...

2. If he smelled a hot doe then he probably would tend it but then again if the doe had high levels of testosterone it might be possible for her not to go in heat but I don't know for sure and that is a very good question that I would like to know for sure...

3. Very likely of her passing her genes on...
