Numbers were down on first day...they said about half of normal harvest. Likely due to the "no help" policy this year. No rides in or out, although we did call and request a ride out and they obliged for 4 of us.
We were close to 3miles in, and heck of a trip out with 2 small bucks! We made it about half way out and it was 5:30...guys in front of us thankfully got cell signal and called for a ride. Would have been out there late!
Definitely recommend a deer cart, and choose hunt location wisely based on drag/cart pull distance.
Good luck!
It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're flying with a bunch of turkeys.

Was there for hunt one and b back on Monday. Was told most deer shot were pretty far in. I shot a Forky myself, long drag out. First hunt I literally had my hammer freeze on the 44 while trying to shoot a doe! Would pull back but not lock in place, 27yrs hunting and that's a new one. Prob scout tomorrow for different tree tho.
Consistent luck is nothing more than hard work and preparation.
