Got drawn for the December 1st and 2nd hunt. Iv never hunted a state park before. What should I expect? Going up Thanksgiving day to get a first hand look at the property and go from there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try to get deep, find escape routes and you'll see Blaze orange in every tree come sun light it will seem. If you can get away from people you will be lucky.......are you putting up a stand prior or taking one in when you go ?....use a ribbon and tie it around the tree you want, I used two ribbons on the tree I want to hunt, I used a Lone Wolf and sticks I packed in, in the early Am....the problem was, another "hunter" tore the ribbons down and marked "his" tree 30 yds away....he never did show up the day I hunted and I shot the largest buck to come out of the Dunes last year..... The second session is tough as most of the deer to be killed have been in the first session....there is always less taken this time around....good luck...

Well I went and check it out. People, people, and more people. Orange tape and treestands up everywhere. Found a spot away from the crowd with in big open hardwoods. Id rather hunt away from the people and see how things go. 2 other buddies are going with me. Ill be happy if we take a couple of does out.
