The Idnr's app. Makes telecheck so easy it's ridiculous. Only reason I wish I would have stuck with an Iphone.

Scoutlook. has all the above and I really like the scentcone for wind direction. Plan all my hunts around this one part of the app

Sadly, the one I use most is Euchre😊
Just started playing with HuntStand. Seems to do more than scent cone. I usually glance at hunt predictor.
Trimble outdoors has topo maps....not aware of another app that.

Leave it in your pocket, best way to hose yourself is by staring at your phone.

Deer Hunter 2014, guaranteed to shoot something! j/k Weather Channel/IDNR/Scoutlook are solid resources. I don't use my phone very much on stand but a lot on preparation and using the map to mark stand locations. I also us MapMyRun to show best routes to stands. Good Luck.

I have long thought a decent app was easy to do but there just wasn't anything. I recently downloaded Antler Insanity and I have to say it is strong. Can do all the things I think an app can help with. I have to admit, I stare at my phone a good bit when I am in the tree. Not sure how some of you do it...must just focus on the horizon and go into a trans. Wish I could.

Sportscenter and Yahoo fantasy football (if you play). Sad I know but those are the ones I use the most. I also text a lot! Buddies that are hunting usually. Just don't get caught with your phone out, its hard to shoot a deer with an IPHONE at least at this point, maybe apple can fix that! LOL!

Happy Hunting!

I get really tired of folks telling others to leave their phones alone while hunting. We are grown men, we can decide whether to use our phones, or not. I occasionally look at my phone while hunting and I've killed more deer than I can remember.

Just because someone chooses not to look at their phone while they are hunting doesn't make them a better or more dedicated hunter.

I like to e-mail my wife and son my exact location when I am hunting. I often change my mind on which stand I hunt based on a lot of things - sightings, wind direction, gut feeling, etc.

Phones can be a great and useful tool when hunting.
