FYI - If it's not at least 48" above ground, you have to have the orange on it. Would be easy to build a little platform on that wagon to achieve the 48" height.

Steiny is correct.

Get it above 48 inches off the ground and you don't need orange as it will no longer be classified as a "ground blind"

312 IAC 9-1-7.6 "Ground blind" defined
Authority: IC 14-10-2-4; IC 14-22-2-6
Affected: IC 14-22
Sec. 7.6. "Ground blind" means a structure or visual screen of any type that is located on or within four (4) feet of the ground
that includes manmade or synthetic materials and results in concealing a hunter so that the hunter orange worn by the hunter may
not be visible from one (1) or more directions. (Natural Resources Commission; 312 IAC 9-1-7.6; filed Dec 1, 2011, 4:01 p.m.:
20111228-IR-312110101FRA; readopted filed May 20, 2014, 9:43 a.m.: 20140618-IR-312140017RFA)

I could do the Rims. This was a old John Deere gravity bed Wagon frame we build the thing yesterday from just the Frame. I have visions of this setting in WSG and being movable as the deer change habits and multipurpose out of season

Love it! What about a perminant structure or semi-solid structure to replace the pop up blind? Great idea on the mobile stand.

I have something similar. Pulled the wheels up on some big wood blocks to achieve the 48" height, then cut a bunch of brush to jam around it.

Not a fan of the blaze orange rule for ground blinds. They stick out bad enough as is, hate to add the orange.

One reason for this is I want to build permanent houses but as you all know when in a stand ALWAYS you think I should have moved it over there, this way I can hunt this and build later if I want to.. in a spot already tried .

Cool, good use for an old gravity wagon.

Throback - You mention wanting the ability to move your blind. My latest tower stand is a 5' x 6' box on an 8' tall platform. It can be picked up and carefully moved with a decent sized tractor with front end loader and forks. I built it in my driveway and moved it into position that way.
