....primitive hunting arrow made possible by new friends and old. A very heart felt thank you to scrub buster and flintknapper for the cane and heads. Im more excited for opening day than I have been in many years. If all goes well this season, Ill be harvesting a whitetail off the family farm I inherited from Dad, with an osage selfbow made by John Scifres in exchange for some osage he cut off our farm. Using the cane arrows I made from shafts from scrub buster, feathers I cut into fletching from a turkey killed by weedhopper and heads made by flintknapper. And carried in a Roe deer quiver from a friend in New Zealand Ive always hunted alone. But this year Ill have some friends along for help. Good Luck to everyone this season. Hunt Safe.

Oh so cool. Bow season is gonna be pretty primitive (except no loin cloth) for me. Sinew backed osage recurve, watersnake backing, cane arrows with stone heads, obsidian knife, neck knife, coyote quiver, Asbell wool top, wool bottoms, wool crusher hat. Kill or not, I'll look dam good doing it! Not sure about using the coyote quiver on public land though

What a skill. (Making and shooting) Can't wait to see what you connect with this season.

Nice looking arrows Dave. One question, and two comments…… What do the points weigh? From personal experience with flint heads….stay away from the shoulder. That don't work….at all! Weedy turkey feathers are a Jinx. I put some of his turkey feathers on 3 years ago, and have not even drawn back on a deer since I did!!!! You might want to find an Indian Chief to perform an exorcism or bless them or something before going hunting!!!!! :p
