Who's been out?

I've hunted every day of the season so far except one. Was surprised to see a little early rut action starting to heat up. Couple nights ago on a cooler day, saw various bucks chasing, scraping & sparring. The one doe they were after was walking around with her tail pointed straight out, which can mean an estrous doe. Pretty early for that I thought. Yesterday it was back up in the 80's again and not much going on. The few deer I saw were all lightly panting as they fed slowly past me in the sweltering heat. Supposed to rain again today and cool off....should be a good weekend coming up. Good luck to anyone heading out!

Good report Greg... Thanks!
I haven't been out much this year, unlike years past... I usually am hitting it hard by now. But the activity has been pretty slow. Did see a shooter couple weeks ago, closest distance was about 90yds... hope to get him close soon!! Good luck to all

I have hunted multiple properties probably 50% of the days so far since Sept 15 when Reduction Zone opened. Lots of deer activity pretty consistently. Not always a bunch of deer, but I am seeing at least a deer, generally in bow range, on the overwhelming majority of sits. Mostly small bucks moving during the daylight right now. Big bucks are still mostly moving at night. Tons of scrapes have opened up in the past week. Several good rubs too.

due to work, Ive been out 5 times, the only time Ive seen deer, then it was 3 bucks/1.5-2.5yr olds was on Oct. 2 .. sat for 9.5 hours yesterday (Sat), 4 hours in the AM and 5.5 in a different favorite location in the PM .. saw 0 deer .. i'm sure the duck opener had them spooked back in the Marshes/lakes where I hunt with all the shooting and trucks driving in there ... it sounded like WWIII in the AM ... went to a different location once the duck guys left at noon, was a nice afternoon in a favorite tree, till a Elmer Fudd walked in (at 3:30 !!) and set up with a climber 150 yds from me, cutting off a potential deer travel route from me .. he ignored the YO's I yelled and set up anyways ... WTF... I would never do that to another hunter, encroach on someone, needless to say, nothing came by ... I'm on vac#1 now, took today off from there with it being a Sunday and the Elmer Fudd's will be out ... rain on Monday, so Tues (27th) will be the next day out ....

such as ... ?? .. there is not a 'best' ... while some 'products' may be better than others, much relies on personal preference ...

Most likely "TSJ" was a forum spammer. Oddly enough, we get quite a few of those. When their very first post sounds kinda goofy like that, and dropped randomly into an old thread, it's typically fraudulent and from overseas. Who knows what they're trying to do....maybe fishing for PMs to try and get some kind of transaction started? If I leave them go long enough to post a second time, they usually place a commercial link in their next post. Easier to just nuke 'em from the get-go.
