I no more and got back from Ohio and started then honing in on my #1 buck target in Indiana...….. but as luck goes...…… he was shot by a neighbor a mile away by noon on opening day gun season. So.... I hit the reset button and started to hunt my #2 buck I named "Classic". He and I went back and forth for over a week. After a cat and mouse game for days...….. I caught him fighting with a buck one late afternoon in a picked cornfield. I quick got down out of my stand....... ran 200 yards to close the gap as I knew he was preoccupied with the fight. Slammed myself up against the old wooden fence post on the edge of the field and ranged him at 205 yards now...... when they broke apart....... he stood their broadside breathing heavily from the fight......... the 6.5 Creemoor then stopped the heavy breathing.
Meet Classic.......... 13 scoreable points.......... 173 1/8 Green Gross Score.
Early fall pic in the fog.....
The afternoon I got him....
After Christmas today.......... preparing for next year......
Happy Holidays all.......... safe hunting......
