Driving down the road tonight and my wife starts screaming for me to stop and back up because she saw a HUGE BUCK in the field. My son and I tell her she's smoking crack because bucks aren't carrying antlers right now. She's going ballistic so we drive back to see what I'm guessing will be a statue.

I couldn't get a good picture but guys it was a 150" buck carrying BOTH SIDES! I was speechless

Latest I have seen them around our area has been April 15'th. Seen 5 bucks together ALL carrying one or both sides. Been a few years ago.

I saw a basket rack 6-8 pointer several years ago in early May while mushroom hunting. h.h.

Not unusual to see small bucks still carrying in April. Can't say I've ever seen a big mature buck carrying this late?

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

I've got some on camera already growing! Crazy how nature works.

Somewhere in the dusty recesses of my brain, I seem to remember reading that antlered does or neutered bucks may retain antlers.
