One of my suggestions this year was to bring the fur bearer/trapping dates together. Doesn't make sense to have fox/coyote open on October 15, then raccoon/grinner on Nov. 8'th, then the "water" trapping start on the 15'th. Pick a dang date between October 15, and November 15, and start it!!!! I know different animals prime up quicker than others, but turning coons loose out of coyote sets 5 days before their season comes in doesn't make sense. Align them with the hunting seasons for them also. Done deal….

When will the "bag" limits be set for deer...I'm curious if they are backing off on decimating the does in some areas

Isnt it about time for last seasons harvest stats ??

I see they are listing a grouse season again. If the current proposal passes the NRC (and it will) they may as well close it effective this year.

I've lost a couple friends over this but I'm all for a closed season(s) for a couple years.

I agree Yaz, Also I think it is silly to close trapping season of Fox on January 31st but you can still hunt them until feb 28th.

Yea…..turn them loose out of the trap….THEN shoot them! :roll eyes: Doesn't make a lick of sense. I talked to my District Biologist about this also. He said he has said that for years.
