I saw this buck 21 times since july. Took my son on the youth hunt but he never showed. Then on October 22 he came out around 200 yards in a cut bean field. Im setting on the ground no blind which is a first for me but there where no trees on the fence row big enough to climb. I think the good Lord was watching over me as something spooked him and he stopped 45 yards broadside. I decided to back out and attempt to recover him the next morning. After about 2 hours of sleep I found him 500 yards from where I had shot him. After field dressing him I saw it was a double lung hit and he went 500 yards! What is so ironic is I had watched this deer all summer I was hunting across the road from my house and I recovered him in my 10 acre field 100 yards from my house.
