I took this doe at about 25yds in the evening on New Year's Day. My first whitetail in the month of January! She had bounded into the woods off of a field and was well past me, but luckily she turned around and came angling towards me. At 25yds she angled again to go another way. I mouth grunted to stop her and let my Simmons Tiger Shark fly and I heard her crash shortly after. She didn't make it 50yds and I had to follow the blood trail with my iPhone flash as I'd forgotten my flashlight. Gotta love those Simmons heads! I used a 50@28 Tall Tines recurve.

Nice! I've been looking at the TT recurves for a while now. Can't make up my mind between a TT or a Schafer Silvertip.

Yaz, I've never shot a Schafer, but I've always heard they are nice. I know I certainly like my TT. Very smooth, fits my hand well, and the bowyer Brian Wessel is very easy to work with.

Nice job Matt, way to get it done in the late season.

Superb!! I have access to a 70 pound Fred Bear long bow with cedar shafts.....you couldn't pay me enough money to hunt with that thing. I will stick to my crossbow. Nice shooting. That stick & string thing truely is hunting!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody! It is a purdy bow, but believe it or not that's his base model minus the antler tips and limb bolts. He makes some real working art!
