Sitting at the computer on November 14th at 2:18 PM and hearing the first flight of sandhill cranes passing over the house. It is truly hunting season now.

Grouse season on public lands ends today...maybe forever in Indiana.

Sounds like the ducks are moving all over the state.

Woodcock season goes to the 28th although the cold weather may push them south before then.

There's a reason I like dogs better'n people... .

HatchetJack, sad post about the end of grouse season. As an elder member here, it was truly an honor and pleasure to walk the hills of southern Indiana in pursuit of the elusive grouse. With my buddy Birdy and a few others, we were able to follow my English Setter, Tug, back when there was actually grouse to be hunted. Good luck to everyone tomorrow for the gun opener for deer. Be safe!

I have not seen or heard any yet this year. We usually have some stop in and overnight in the wheat fields around our place.
