I don't know what kind of vines these are but they have taken over one part of my woods. They are on the ground and growing up the trees chocking out everything. Some of the vines growing up the trees are as big as my arm. In the fall they have clusters of orange berries that the birds eat and spread the seeds. Is there any way to stop this thing?

I'm not sure what it is but I would start cutting them with some loppers to try and kill some of them....

You could take a piece or this picture to Mathies Landscaping here in town and see what they have any info on it...

I found this article on how to make a herbicide drip applicator for stumps or cut ends. h.h.

It is a recent photo, I just took it. The berries in the fall look like Bittersweet. This is a vine that has just started in the last 20 years, grows fast and very invasive. I didn't think it was a native vine. I don't see anyway to stop it

Thanks for the info, Yes, this stuff stays green all year long. I try to keep it off my Black Walnuts. I don't know if it will kill a tree or not.

you can spray it and kill it with Glyphos on the leaves but use a surfactant like Cide-kick to break down the waxy coating on the leaves cut the big ones and glyphos on the stump CHEAPEST WAY but not the only way as long as nothing else has any green it wont hurt the trees
