Great day of games except for the 2A game Park Tudor is in a league of their own. Greensburg is the best "team" I saw this year. Tech was fun to watch saw them play multiple times this season. It was hard not to be a fan of them. Only think holding me back was Jack being a Tech graduate

Good for them. I am just not a fan of class ball.

From what I've read, it sounds like Greensburg had a very real shot at beating Tech. It's a shame they didn't get that chance in a single-class tournament.

No doubt Tech was a good team, but their coach doesn't know how to play with a lead.

I grew up when all schools no matter there size played for the Indiana State Championship and winner takes all.

Everyone knew who was playing and watched. It was the true meaning of Hoosier Hysteria. One of the last years before the lawsuit the changed the format, the finals were played in the RCA Dome and 60,000 fans filled the dome.

Now days with all the different classes being played hardly anyone knows the tourney is even on except the locals of the favored team. h.h.

Nitpicking, but it was 41,046. The Hoosier Dome only held 56,000 and change.

I am proud to say I was part of the crowd to watch Damon Bailey and the BNL Stars win the 1990 state championship.

It was the largest crowd to ever watch a high school basketball game and it is a record that I don't think will ever be broken.

johnc911 - not to be picky but Billy Kellar was playing at Washington when I was at Tech...and I was even shorter then than I am now!!! Back in the 1963-64 season Tech was unbeaten all season but lost in the tournament to Anderson. Lots of great games and all played at Butler Fieldhouse. One year we even got snowed in all night at the Sectionals.

I also miss the single class basketball and football games/tournaments.

I was at that game to. Back then at Seymour the sectional an regional were sold out and they were scalping tickets for 100 bucks. Damon for Sectional an Region and Pat Graham for Regional. Teams that were in our Sectional made enough off of their share to pay for athletic programs for the next year. We were making 8-10,000 a game off the concession stand.

Seymour sectional and regional was the best there was. I can even remember when the girls games there were 5,000+ strong. The watered down cokes though,,,that was a different story. Those days are forever gone due to the fact that EVERYONE deserves a Chance.
