I grew up when all schools no matter there size played for the Indiana State Championship and winner takes all.
Everyone knew who was playing and watched. It was the true meaning of Hoosier Hysteria. One of the last years before the lawsuit the changed the format, the finals were played in the RCA Dome and 60,000 fans filled the dome.
Now days with all the different classes being played hardly anyone knows the tourney is even on except the locals of the favored team. h.h.
If you're not a hemorrhoid, get off my butt.

johnc911 - not to be picky but Billy Kellar was playing at Washington when I was at Tech...and I was even shorter then than I am now!!! Back in the 1963-64 season Tech was unbeaten all season but lost in the tournament to Anderson. Lots of great games and all played at Butler Fieldhouse. One year we even got snowed in all night at the Sectionals.
I also miss the single class basketball and football games/tournaments.

Seymour sectional and regional was the best there was. I can even remember when the girls games there were 5,000+ strong. The watered down cokes though,,,that was a different story. Those days are forever gone due to the fact that EVERYONE deserves a Chance.
