What else would you exspect from a writer for a Gannett newspaper? Past the first ammendment Tully has no use for the constitution.

Tully writes to incite people, he wants letters to the editor, he believes that is job security.

Yup Tully is a tool.... He sure loves that First Amendment so he can trample on the Second one.... But, he is a typical Journalists in today's times... A college educated idiot who knows absolutely nothing about being an actual Journalist and what their purpose is for.... You don't need an education to be one... You just need some common sense which sadly no Journalists has in today's times....

I would suggest no "letter to the Editor", if you ignore his article he will move to another topic.

We have to realize he got mugged on a downtown street a couple years ago. No police were present to shoot the perp. His column was not enough police presence......... Does that mean a badge and gun?

Now he is concerned with LEGAL carrying citizens? I would wonder if he will report on a decrease of inner city crime during the NRA convention?

My guess is ....... WE can all walk safely the downtown area during the NRA convention, the thugs wont know WHO is armed!

I could be wrong on this, and frankly I hope I am, but didn't John Kerry sign a UN bill that technically makes it illegal to carry a semi automatic weapon, so if law enforcement wanted to be a holes they could enforce that law? From what I understand the senate needs to vote against the law in order for it to be thrown out, but technically it is as of right now anyway, the law. Again I could be wrong on this, it's just something I read.

Kerry signing it just means that the THIS Administration supports it but like any treaty regardless of where it comes from has to go through the U.S. Senate for ratification to make it law of the land....

Also, it is easy for any Congress (and President sign)to pass laws against enforcement of it on U.S. soil and there is nothing any country can do about it... The U.N. is nothing but a bunch of puppets who really no power to do anything (especially to us) since we basically fund the useless organization... Without our money, it would fail and collapse....

I'm hoping that stays true, but the way it's looking, in the future the UN might have more power than we would like. Starting with daddy Bush signing the agenda 21, and orrery much every president after him, and with Obama having his eyes set on being president of the UN at some point, things don't look to good on that front. With the democrats being more like communists and the Republicans being more like democrats, the one world government that both parties have been more or less secretly pushing for is becoming more of a reality every day. Unfortunately the UN is going to play a big role in making that happen, mainly because all politicians know it will be next to impossible to get our own military to do what is necessary to get our nation to comply with a new world order, so they will have to call upon an outside army to, for example, disarm Americans. I wish what I am saying was just conspiracy ridden babble, but it'sbacked by the Bible, so it really just make sense.
