Figure out I needed t replace cables on a lock on, so decided to call Gander to see if they carry them in stock....pressed 0 to speak to a person, and told the young man "I had a question about treestands", hoping to be transferred......and his answer was "treestands....let me see if we have those" ! laugh laugh

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're flying with a bunch of turkeys.

Had to be the Castleton store. Worst place ever. Greenwood is much better.

your first mistake was calling gander mountain.

Want a good laugh? Ask them how much they charge for an FFL transfer.

Last time I called Gander in Greenwood I asked if they carried a breech plug for a Rossi Miniloader. He said how do you spell it "R a l p h i". I just kind of laughed and found out they don't carry it.

I pass through Wheeling, WV and Dundee, MI every few months for work.

Once you have been to the Cabelas stores there, nothing we have here in Indiana compares.

Yes, I think it would have done well.

Just really bad timing with the economy going into the crapper in 2008

We have two Bass Pro's and one Cabela's here in Indiana and I have been to all three more then once and I have to say that the Bass Pro in Clarksville is the best in the area...

The Bass Pro in Portage sucks cause it is small and not much to pick from and back in July I went to Cabela's with my dad and was very disappointed in their lack of size selection of clothing...

My dad (who use to be nothing other then a Cabela's man) likes Bass Pro better...
Even if they would hav built the one in Greenwood I would have been disappointed with it because it would have been almost 100,000sq ft smaller then their Hammond store...
