I have been seeing several bucks cruising. No chasing yet, but I saw a nice 150+ ten the other evening right at 5 pm walk out to the creek, then he cruised on by at 60 yards. Saw 2 smaller bucks after him. Same night, I saw a lone doe and two yearlings, but I was in the wrong stand. none of them came within 50 yards. I have a pin for 50, but I am not comfortable enough to make an ethical shot.

I think it is a trickle rut. Full moon is really late this year not until November 17. I few does have come into heat causing intense action. The majority of does should be bred after November 19th. I have spent a lot of time in the woods and haven't seen a hot doe yet. I have however seen small bucks cruising and pestering the does.

What rut???? I haven't seen any buck looking or chasing. Might just be because they all know there are no does in my area so why bother looking. smile

Saw a nice one this morning about nine. He was grunting and following a doe along with a tall eight. Had a long shot at the younger deer but knowing that big boy is in there held me off. My buddy saw somewhere north of ten bucks this morning including several nice ones just out of range. He was on private, I was on public. It's rocking pretty good.

Majority of the breeding is going on right now meaning buck sightings will be diminished. Chasing was a week ago.

Had a 135"+ 10pt yesterday 7AM shadowing a doe, she was 30 yds from me, he was on a hill side in very thick brush at 55 yds. ...she turned to leave and took him with her.....with a slug gun/ml he'd have been dead...with a bow, no way...previous days I had small bucks pushing does around and had 3 different dink with in 30 yds....the 10pt has been the only decent duck so far

Now they are calling for rain and high winds Sat and thunderstorms Sun,temps 65 to 70....gust to 45mph sat. into Sun.....clearing for the Dunes park hunts Mon and Tues.....

My dad and I both killed nice bucks this week while both were chasing does in Parke Co. It was like a light switch turned on on 11/11 and it hasnt slowed down since. Have saw multiple bucks chasing including the big boys. It is full blown rut where i'm at
