Anyone have any idea what everyone is fishing for in White River off of 67 just west of Mooresville. On my way to Spencer the last few weekends I've seen cars lined up off of 67. Just curious what everyone is after.

Typical river fish I would imagine-catfish, drum and carp primarily I would suspect. That area accesses the back side of the IPL power plant dam across the river and has always been a hot bed of fishing activity. Many of them are hispanic. They are fixing to put a boat ramp in there.

To many Mexicans there for me caught a few crappie there where the water comes over the little dam. Caught some big shad on crappie jigs there also. Talked to a guy that said he has caught walleye or saugers there but said they tasted like mud when he cooked them

Huntin is not a matter of life and death, its more important than that

TA 17..... Back in the day of the late 70's and early 80's as a teenager we fished that area a lot. Like DH986 said just to many mexican's to fish there now.

In 1984 I took a buddy down there after work to fish. The last fish That he (Mark Holland) caught was 21" 3lbs 9oz crappie. It missed the state record at the time by 6oz.
He has it mounted and a special made glass coffee table for display. He's Moved up to Anderson years ago and have lost track of him. I will try to contact him and get a pic of it.
