I know there are small bass in the pic, before anyone freaks out on me about it, the owner wants us to take out 20 bass 12" or less each time we go. This lake has too many mouths to feed and we are trying to increase the quality. We probably caught 150 bass or more and that many crappie. He lets us keep 30 crappie each and as many bluegill as we want. We are introducing catfish to the lake this spring as well.

The crappie are are a major problem, they will consume EVERY other game fish fry in the lake! This is backed up from IDNR fish biologists. eradicate the crappie and you have a better lake to fish.

Great catch by the way!

Nice catch guys. Garmin, my son left for the Army about 3 years ago, so I know how you're feeling, very proud and very sad at the same time. Tell him thank you and Good luck in his new career.

True. I have been with and heard the biologists say either have crappie or bass in most ponds. Two predator species like that makes an unhealthy system long term.
