If I can get my boat done by Thursday Im heading to either Michigan City or Barren Springs to steelhead fish. I know Dave floats and does his fly flippin' thing for steelies but who else fishes for them? h.h.

HH, the steelhead are starting to spawn on the Pere. They are hammering them daily, along with browns. Good luck and take some pictures. You going to use boards on the board or you going to cast for them?

Dave, most likely cast spawn or use spoons and plugs in the fast water. If I go to Lake Michigan I'll troll flatline's and dispy's. Hit a small snag with my boat so it will probably be next week before I go. h.h.

Dumb question but years ago we always caught the Cohos this time of year along with the occasional brown. Any action around the lakeshore for them nowadays?

That's good to hear. They were always my favorite eaters.
