I work for an Insurance company and we get these results every year and I thought it might be interesting to share it with you guys. The company i work for isn't in all the states surrounding Indiana but there are several on here that are. Crazy to see how much is actually paid out on these type of claims.

Ouch! They are usually not worth eating unless properly taking care of immediately. Tore front end of 2 out of 3 Chevys up only one good memory out of it. Family had been huntin hard years back(for start of season)with no luck on deer for 3 weeks. Wife and I went crappie fishing on patoka near our property(Father bought years ago) we caught limit of crappie hit a doe on way back somehow just clipping her with front tow hook killed her with truck DNR turned her over to us. Plenty light left. Dad and rest o fam got back in with no luck hunting. Had crappie fillets and back straps deep fried and grilled for them. They cussed me as they ate and drank but obviously got over it in minutes. Only good time on hitting deer with truck. Not recommended goal. Weird but true story! That one didn't hurt the ol 90 Chevy!

Last I saw was that Indiana(for 2011, most recent report) had about 15,000 reported collisions, the article stated that the number is going down due to aggressive management efforts by the DNR......

Keep in mind this is just for the company that I work for. We are in the top ten for quanity of auto's insured in the state so i would guess that 15,000 reported collisions number is very close and maybe even a little higher for last year.

I also added to that total 2 nights ago. First real accident with damage I've ever had. Had no time to react when buck ran out on the HW. Hope to get an estimate Monday , I'm expecting $2-3000 damage.

Wonder how that compares to the gross amount of dollars they take in each year?
