We have not had groundhogs on the place in 15 years or better. Once in a while, one would move into one of the old barns. We never bothered them, as a couple never hurt much. Plus, they dug holes that the rabbits, foxes, and other critters used. Well, in the last two years, there have been a population explosion of them in in a couple areas of the farm. They have go over an acre of beans just in this spot…..time for a few of em to go!!

They don't move Chevy. Don't even have to wire them up or anchor them! Two more out of the same dens. I seen 6 in this spot at once. I'll leave one. Done with this herd, and time to move on to the next batch of critters…..of all things, we have muskrats cutting corn down like beavers!!!! Full size stalks!!! Felling them like trees, and dragging them in the ditch! Never seen such a thing out of rats. confused

Got the big Momma this round.

Been a bad year Yaz, no fishing here either! Last year I killed big whitebass and crappie during June and early July. Right now it will be a month before they get the water drained back to summer pool at Salamonie. I think next week I will start pulling my boat north and fish at night for walleyes. h.h.

Up to 5 pigs, pole cat, and a feral cat.

Takin care of the farmers gets us on hard to get on places.

Yaz, I might suggest that you still stake them down very securely. I did they same as you and lost a couple of 220's to a yote that wanted a free lunch.

I'm at 9 as of yesterday with the 22-250 and .357 mag. Taurus....There are still at least twice that many on this one property, if not more......they've never been hunted on the place...the farmer has mounds in his bean fields and under his buildings.....its tougher now to see 'em as the beans are so tall... I'll get a few more off the place, then call it quits so there is some left for next spring/summer...I love hunting these critters...always have...one summer I took 30 with archery gear, that was back in the early '90's....
