So far ive just tried for coons and have gotten 10 this year. It is very addicting. When would be a good time to set foot hold traps for coyotes? I've got a lot on one of my properties. I wanted to go with the snares but there arent any fences, just a big open field with a large creek running through it. I see them almost every time I deer hunt.

if the season is open, it's a good time to trap in my opinion!

Good luck, I hope you catch a ton of fur!!

For coyotes. If you can afford it, I would buy the kit from Hoosier trapping supply. It has all you need and a pretty Good DVD We caught yotes immediately.

+1 on that. It comes with Bridger traps which are excellent and quality lure and bait.

If you are buying new coyote traps, check out the Bridger dogless #2 and #3 traps. They are about the best coyote traps I have seen

I agree with chevy the bridger traps are great. i use bridger #2 offsets which is what bean referred to me. They work well and dont cut off blood circulation because of being offsets. I haven't trapped long but so far I have caught a cat, squirrel, fox, possum, and dog in one and also have had a yote slip out of one because it didnt get caught well enough
