I am in the market for a gun to take trapping with me I am thinking just a cheap .22 revolver type so I don't have to carry a long gun this year. So what type of guns do you guys carry with you just wondering to see what my options are

My kids little .22 Rossi they out grew. Works great.

A little cheap .22 revolver. I'm not sure even what kind it is. Paid $50 for it. Just throw it in my coveralls pocket and go. If I happen to lose it I ain't out much.

Well I take a ruger 10/22. But that's a rifle so...

Ruger, Mark II... If I don't want to carry my rifle.

My favorite trapping pistols:

Ruger and Phoenix Arms

As everybody knows that has one, the Ruger is a shooter. Very accurate. It just got too heavy, and was not needed for close up work. The little Phoenix is Ok, but a pain with the double safety, and the magazine mumbo jumbo….Not a quality firearm (IMO), but cheap, small, and tucks in my coveralls pockets well.



My favorite: shoots shorts, LR, and .22 mag.

Charter Arms Nick. Very small, and easy to carry. I forget I have it on me.

Don't underestimate the ability of a club either.

I have a nice little aluminum T ball bat I carry with me. It does not eat any of the hard to find .22 LR ammo.

Skunks help keep life on the trap line interesting.
