Gave them a couple light yelps at 7:00 and they flew down. 3 of them came in and wouldn't get any closer than 40 yards. Kind of a long shot for the 20 ga but it did the trick. A 20 gauge can get the job done. I have a Remington 870 Express that will throw a killing pattern at 40 yards with 3-inch Winchester Magnums with 1-1/4 ounces of #6 shot and a tight aftermarket turkey choke. Nice job coaching and filming, too! May all our hunts be safe, enjoyable, and deeply appreciated.

My youth hunter killed his bird with an 870 Express Magnum 20 ga, Rem turkey choke, Winchester supremes 3" #5 at 38 yards. Knocked the tom right to the ground. h.h.
