Doesn't look like the author thinks too highly of Indiana.

Dang, both the states I'm hunting in November made the list (Indiana and Iowa)!

In Indiana to date, haven't got a shooter buck on trail camera this year. Good property though, and during the rut...never know what might show up.

First trip back to Iowa since 2009. Not sure what to expect, but Iowa has never let me down yet....knock on wood!

From what I know, and having bow-hunted there recently, Iowa may be the most desired state to bow-hunt whitetails in the entire country. The wait to draw a license in the better zones is now 4 years (for a non-resident) due to the extremely high demand. And if you take a look at the prices they get for the "governor tags", which allow NR's to bypass the draw and hunt every year.....those now routinely go for over 10k apiece when they're auctioned at the various conservation banquets.

I see the author used very little stats or data to back up his "ratings". Maybe he just wanted to publish a "controversial" article to draw attention to himself?

The list is total bunk - Minnesota and Iowa anywhere near this list is bogus. Ha Ha. I shot 8 deer in MN within 4 days a few years ago and the place is still stocked to the gills. So that is bogus.

Iowa - never hunted there, but it can't go from one of the best to one of the worst in a few year.

List is total bogus and doesn't really even give any decent evidence. I'd qualify this list more as click-bait and to create controversy than a realistic list.

Wide Open Spaces is known in the marketing world of hunting and shooting to push out bogus articles with no proof.

The guy that runs it is 100% marketing guy: http://www.wideopenmediagroup.com/denis-odwyer/

Marketing Guy in Chicago but grew up in Indiana/ Ball State.. blah blah blah.

He is not drawing attention to himself but to the products on the website. Click counts are everything. He got at least 6 clicks through this repost and a higher SEO rating by the repost itself.
