My Father was President of the National Treeing Walker Association for MANY years. I followed a hound as soon as I was big enough to sit on Dad's shoulders and hold onto his head!!! I met, and became freinds with many good people all over the country in the years we participated in nite hunts, and fur hunts. Just like any other hunting sport, there are bad ones, that makes us all look bad. Do your best to steer clear, and try to help the coon hunter image any time you can.

I haven't coon hunted in many years. The other comittments, and responsibilities I have made for myself, doesn't allow me the time. Plus....there's this little deal that I want to go to bed as soon as the sun goes down....... laugh

Do it right, take pride in your hounds, and show respect for the landowners, and others, and you won't have any problems!

Good luck with your hounds, and have a ball.

As the other thread was closed down...have a good time with your dogs. Learn the rules and boundaries and enjoy your sport.

Good luck with your new dogs.

I have always had an interest in coon hunting but have never had the opportunity to try it.

Best of luck!
