Bo, a coon light with a red lens works very good. If you know a local coon hunter they usually have one. h.h.

On the bright side, you wouldn't have to worry about wasting ammo or finding a carcass!...

I can see it now...

ISS: Uh Houston, we are getting hit with a laser beam...

NASA: Do you know where from...

ISS: Looks like from Indiana... Bowbo must be hunting yotes again...

NASA: Acknowledge... We'll get someone out there right away...

ISS: Thanks Houston... Tell him we said Good Luck though...

NASA: Acknowledged, we'll do!

you are welcome. Let me know if you decide you need to borrow it.

They claim 200yds+ range I think, might be pushing it. I think 100yds is reasonable based on my experience with it. maybe with better scope 150+ yds...just have to call them in a little closer before letting them have it. =)

Re: Asking some help! - 02/16/2016 02:00 PM

My goal is and always is to get them in as close as possible to try and get them with a shotgun, But last tue night I had one within 40 yrds, shot and missed (had to split its hairs) with a rifle due to not taking a shotgun.
I was really wanting the snow to stay on, but have no control over that.
I don't coyote hunt much with no snow on the groung.
From my experience as soon as you put a light on them, they are like Casper. They disappear.

It's going to be fun no matter what tho !!!

Maddog, just asking, have you shot your rifle at 50yards to see where it hits? I know mine is low.

Good luck at the shoot!

Re: Asking some help! - 02/16/2016 06:25 PM

The further you have it zero'd... like me @200yds... the lower you will be at 50! If you you use high-rise (see thru) mounts.... it will be even worse!!

What the heck are you guys shooting ?... I can have my 22-250 1 inch high at 100 yds/dead zero at 200 yds and it only drops around 4" at 300 yds and is only 1/4 inch high at 50 yds....I just check it this past Friday.....any coyote from 25yds to 300 yds is pretty much hold dead on and kill.... Ive done this zero with it for years, and it is deadly...55 gr Winchester Ballistic tips...

It will never be any further off then the distance between bore center and scope center out to your zero
