Chevy and TD are right. The coyote market will likely be the best out there this year. But it is going to be the best of the best that sells. You will have local guys not even buying them, to $50.00+. The main two factors are COLOR, and how prime they are. In other words, what time of year it was caught. Late season won't necessarily mean its good either. Guard hairs missing and rubs will be a severe dock, on even the most prime of hides. Here are a couple examples.
This small female was caught at the end of January, or early Feb. even though she was small, her fur was VERY light colored. It was lighter than this picture shows after I washed all the dirt, and staining off. She sold for $94.00 at NAFA. I know it was her, because I sold her separately.
This dark/red colored coyote I couldn't give away, and is likely one of the 3 or 4 still at NAFA that didn't sell.
Any darker, red, or "off color coyotes are not going to be very marketable, if at all. BUT!!! Just keep catching them!!!
