Beaver X2....Thanks Bean!

Read the thread from Bean, read an article on 1-2-3 beaver snaring in Fur, Fish & Game....found some sign behind the house, grabbed some snares & three days later....the rest is beginners luck. This trapping stuff is addictive :p :p . Thanks for the motivation Bean!!

First one ya gotta flesh and stretch it, tan it and hang it on the wall. And again I say have fun fleshing that joker!

What is sooo bad about fleshing one?? Never done it!

Just takes a lot of elbow grease per say. Lotta fat on them things, right around the bottom where their tail connects is just a pain to do.

Good thing is they have thick skin so it's harder to put a hole in em.

Coyotes still kicking my rear end. I can consistently catch beavers and coons, but in 3 years I've snared 1 coyote.

Hey Trad, you using any bait to try to snare them or just trails?

Setting up on trails off of gut piles or cleaned carcasses. My biggest issue is I live 2 hrs from where I hunt and trap. Most of the time they get to set out 1 evening then have to get pulled.

Take time skinning and fleshing is a lot easier
