Zanfel - 07/25/2008 07:19 PM

Every year, we as sportsman, outdoorsman (and woman) hunters and the like venture into,... if not deeper into our outdoor world come late summer/fall. Whether its frog giggin', stand trimming, foodplots, fishin, campin, or any outdoor sport. I,ve already had poison oak and sumac once, and some new strain that acts the same but looks different that I JUST got from my arkansas vacation. Zanfel is expensive, almost 30 bucks for a small tube, but it isnt a coverup like caladry, or calagel clear, or anything containing cortizone/benedryl to stop the itch. It washes away the oil Urishiol which turns ME and many others into an orangutan. I,m no spokesman for a company, but it eats me UP every year, even tho I take preventive measures. The stuff works, and its gone. Tube says 30 seconds, I,ve had it severe and it took a tad longer but used as directed, criminy what a relief.

Thanks for the advice. I got on E-Bay and ordered a one ounce tube for $23.00 including shipping. I stopped by a CVS earlier today and the same tube was $39.99! I usually get a bad case of poison ivy every year and it usually stays with me for a while.

Zanfel is the greatest medicine in the world when you get poison ivy like I do. The stuff is expensive, but awesome.

CVS sells their version under the CVS name and from my experience, it works just as well for about 1/2 the price as actual Zanfel brand.
