How to Go Out of Business with a Great Dumb Product - 03/17/2008 12:01 AM

While reading through the March 2008 Outoor Life, I was amused to read of the "Hunter's Snorkel" in the Weird Products - Snapshots section...

At $30, this charcoal-filtered snorkel is designed to supposedly alleviate problems that us 4-eyed hunters have with fogged glasses, plus preventing bucks from smelling your breath...

Up for a good laugh, I tried to hit the rednektek.com site, home of this little gem, but got a server error... thinking that maybe OL just got the domain wrong, I did some searching...

Domain Name.......... rednektek.com
Creation Date........ 2004-03-13
Registration Date.... 2004-03-13
Expiry Date.......... 2008-03-13
Organisation Name.... David Herschel
Organisation Address. 239 Cypress Grove Ct
Organisation Address.
Organisation Address. New Orleans
Organisation Address. 70131
Organisation Address. LA
Organisation Address. UNITED STATES

A classic marketing foulup if ever there was one... you get mentioned in Outdoor Life, but FORGET TO PAY YOUR DOMAIN RENEWAL FEE!!!!

DOH!!!

I was intrigued to read if they had a hookup hose for your grunt call to go with this exciting product... a must have for all those with deer-view mirrors in their pack... LMAO

What an opportunity missed!

Is it just me or are Outdoor Life and Field and Stream mentioning more and more stupid products like this?
